After a successful weekend as a wildcard racing in the British round of the World Superbikes (WSBK), Luke Mossey is ready to return to BSB and lay down a marker for his rivals at Snetterton this weekend, 16-17 June.

Mossey finished 17th and 12th in the WSBK races, proving that he has what it takes to race on the global stage. Now he and his JG Speedfit Kawasaki team are putting all their efforts into this weekend’s round for Mossey’s home race.

“We had a long break between Oulton Park and this weekend’s race at Snetterton, and I wasn’t sure if I wanted to do it, as our BSB season isn’t going to plan,” said Mossey. “It turned out to be a really good weekend; not only was it good to get some bike time, it really boosted my confidence.”

The season hasn’t gone as Mossey and his team were hoping, but the rider knows that they can turn it around, starting this weekend at the Norfolk circuit: “We’ve had a lot of bad luck and the new tyres have put us on the back foot. But, we recently had some testing time at Snetterton and it worked out really well – we came away fastest, so hopefully we can turn that into results this weekend,” explained Mossey.

Confidence is growing amongst Mossey and his new team and, although it’s been a slow start, the Royston rider knows he can perform at Snetterton. “We’re still getting to know each other, and it’s new, so it’s a learning curve, and we’ve never had bad luck like this before – but we’re on the right path, and I know we can turn it around and get a podium,” he concluded.

It’s going to be another weekend full of action, with the main event taking place on Sunday – and, if Mossey can pick up a podium in Norfolk, it could kick-start his season.
