Luke Mossey is ready to challenge his rivals at Oulton Park this bank holiday weekend, 05-07 May, following a positive testing session at the Cheshire circuit.

Mossey and his JG Speedfit Kawasaki team took part in the BSB official testing session last week at Oulton Park, leaving the rider in a buoyant mood.

With three sessions carried out throughout the day, Mossey put in a high number of laps and posted positive lap times. With the race taking place over the same circuit as testing, Mossey can feel confident ahead of Monday’s races.

Speaking ahead of the weekend, Mossey said: “Testing went well last week at Oulton Park. We’ve dialed in a really good setting with the bike, which is a huge positive and helps build confidence ahead of the weekend.”

Confidence and strong results are exactly what Mossey needs following a tough round two at Brands Hatch that saw him finish 15th and 13th. However, 2017’s round three at Oulton Park was a positive race for the rider, as he finished 3rd and 5th

“Oulton Park is a track I enjoy and feel confident around,” said Mossey. “After Brands Hatch, we were really disappointed with the weekend. It didn’t go to plan and we didn’t finish where we had aimed to.

“The focus is now on this weekend and we’re aiming to make the podium.  I feel we have everything set to make this happen. I’m going to give it everything,” concluded Mossey.

It’s going to be another weekend full of action, with the main event taking place on bank holiday Monday. If Mossey can pick up a podium in Cheshire, it could kick-start his season.
